By signing the contract, the client fully accepts Sage Catering's terms and conditions.
Menu & Pricing

A booking deposit of £500 is required, covering:

Food tasting: £120

Linen hire and damages: £230

Airstream evening food hire (Brympton only; other venues cover fuel and hire costs): £200

Administration fee: £50

Menu prices are confirmed at the time of quotation. While we strive to maintain quoted prices, we reserve the right to adjust prices up to 6 weeks before the event due to exceptional circumstances, such as food and wage inflation exceeding 5%. All prices are subject to VAT.

Orders will be confirmed by email 12 weeks before the wedding day, with payment due at this point. The final guest count must be confirmed 7 working days before the event, with payment made no later than 5 working days before the event. No refunds will be issued after the 12-week payment deadline if guest numbers decrease.
Wedding Breakfast/Night Before Orders Over £1,000

A £500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Orders will be confirmed by email.

The final guest count must be confirmed 12 weeks before the event.

Increases in guest numbers can generally be accommodated up to 7 working days before the event.

The remaining balance will be invoiced upon confirmation of numbers and is due no later than 12 weeks before the event.
Food Tastings

Tastings are held midweek/daytime due to weekend demand. Tastings are charged at £55 per person.
Confirmation
-
Clients have 15 working days to confirm a provisional booking by signing the contract.
Cancellation
-
Orders over £200 cancelled with more than 6 months' notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 6 months' notice will be charged the full amount. Sage Catering reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., Acts of God) without liability.
Allergies

While Sage Catering cannot guarantee that any menu items are completely free from nuts or other allergens, we will work directly with clients to arrange alternative options for those with severe allergies.
Force Majeure

Sage Catering will make every effort to fulfill contractual obligations but is not liable for delays or failures due to factors beyond its control. In such cases, we will offer to postpone or delay services to a mutually convenient date. If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, no refunds will be issued. Additional costs from postponements may be passed onto the client.
Insurance

We recommend that clients obtain event insurance to cover cancellations and force majeure events.
Drinks
-
We will serve your drinks for up to two hours during the reception. Reception drinks should be simple, and we can serve wine, sparkling wine, beer, and cider—no mixed drinks. If canapés are not ordered from us, a £4 per head service charge will apply.
Catering Facilities & Equipment Hire

Clients providing the venue must ensure adequate access, running water, electricity, and toilet facilities for Sage Catering. For marquee events, a 6m x 6m service/catering tent, trestle tables, and waste bins are required.
Leftovers
-
Sage Catering reserves the right to discard any leftover food items after the event to comply with food safety regulations.
Clearing After the Event

We will clean the areas used; however, a £500 charge may apply if excessive mess is left behind.
Food Quantity
-
We prepare 5-10% over the final guest count to include staff meals. Clients will not be charged for this overage.
Clearing
-
We will leave the event kitchen as found, ensuring equipment is cleared and rubbish is bagged. Clearing the party area is not included unless contracted.
Damage
-
Clients are responsible for the replacement cost of any Sage Catering or supplier property that is damaged or stolen at the event.
Substitutions
-
Sage Catering reserves the right to substitute menu items if fresh food supplies are inadequate or do not meet safety standards. Substitutions may occur without prior notice.
Customer Complaints

Complaints must be reported within 24 hours of the event via email to info@sagecatering.org.
Data Protection

Sage Catering treats customer information as confidential and will not disclose or distribute it to third parties without prior consent.
Other
-
Please review our terms and conditions carefully before placing an order. As a boutique-sized company, we adhere strictly to our cancellation policy due to our limited capacity to fill vacated dates.

If you book through Castle D’evercy Weddings, Sage Catering's terms and conditions still apply. Our contract is formed with Castle D’evercy as our agent when you book with them.

Prices are subject to change in line with inflation, excise duties, and market fluctuations.

Evening food service runs from 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with later service available for an additional charge.
-
Dietary requirements can be accommodated with 48 hours' notice.

A minimum spend of £750 applies to evening functions and £250 to lunch orders. Minimum orders require catering for 75% of guests for cold food and 100% for hot food.

For evening food, paper plates and wooden/plastic cutlery are provided. China and stainless steel cutlery can be hired for an additional £4.50 per person.

Evening crepes and ice cream are supplementary items and do not count toward the minimum spend.

Serving wedding cake in the Stables without ordering evening food incurs a £4.50 per person charge.

Menu items are subject to change.

Hot breakfast items ordered the following morning must apply to all guests, with a minimum order of £500.

Staff are employed for up to 5 hours for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Overruns will incur a £250 per hour charge, or breakfast components will be adjusted to offset staffing costs.

A minimum spend of £2,000 is required for ‘night before the event’ bookings, covering food and drink ordered in advance.
